LDAK Annual General Meeting

The LDAK Board of Directors is pleased to invite you to our AGM to be held at Ongwanada Resource Centre (*), Room 453A on Monday April 22nd, 7pm - 9pm.

There will be a brief business meeting, before our regular meeting begins, with the election of officers to the new Board.

Presentation Topic:
My Journey Towards Success, Living with ADHD and a Learning Disability”

Please join us in welcoming Aaron Bailey, a 22 year old living with a general anxiety disorder, ADHD, and a learning disability in reading, writing and math.

Aaron will discuss the struggles he faced academically and with his peers throughout his school years; the difficulties he experienced with his disability defining who he was as a person, and finally beating the feeling of “I am my disability.”

He will share programs that helped him along his journey and strategies he developed for success.

Everyone welcome! This presentation may be of special interest to teenagers and young adults and their families. Discussion to follow. No fee.

LDA Kingston is now accepting candidates for our Volunteer Board of Directors.

The Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston recognizes the need to meet and serve a rapidly changing community and as such are recruiting innovative and creative board members with the following skill sets: governance, funding development, marketing and finances. Any interested individuals who are 18 years or older and living in Kingston and surrounding area are eligible. Please forward written submissions with a brief Resume/CV explaining your skills and interest to:
