This is an excellent video outlining Dr. Phelan's approach to
helping parents obtain the behaviour they would like from their
children. There is also a book available.

This short video features an interview with four adults talking
about their own learning disabilities. They reveal to us how they
dealt with their problems encountered, how each coped with their
learning disability, along with the emotion and frustration
experienced, and their outlook on life.

This video features Child Psychologist Dr. Sam Goldstein and Child
Neurologist Dr. Michael Goldstein. What should teachers do? This
video introduces the concept of frustration that both the teachers
and students experience with inattentive behavior. This video
shows how to deal with this behavior in a positive way. It
familiarizes teachers with these behaviors and the problems and
provides an easy to follow explanation concerning evaluation,
medical and non-medical treatment, and what teachers can do to
successfully manage the problems these behaviors may cause in the
classroom.

JUMPING JOHNNY GET BACK TO WORK: A Child's Guide to ADHD 20

This video is a "must see" for children with ADHD. Presented in an
upbeat cartoon format Jumping Johnny tells his story of having
ADHD - what problems he experienced at home and school, how he
felt, what the assessment for ADHD was like and what strategies
he, his parents and teacher use to help him. 2 copies
L.D. AND SOCIAL SKILLS: Last One Plcked, First One Picked On - 68

Richard Lavoie contends that helping kids with LD learn social
skills is as important as teaching them remedial techniques. He
talks about the hidden curriculum of the school - the unwritten
social rules that kids with learning disabilities often don't pick
up and need to have pointed out to them. Lavoie introduces the
concept of using "social autopsies" to gently help kids analyze
their social error and come up with alternative strategies. He
uses entertaining examples and gives many suggestions for both
