May 25 at 9am : Assistive Technology in the Classroom
Presentations from the Limestone District School Board and the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board. Both school boards discussed assistive technology and supports available in the classrooms.
June 1 at 9am: Assistive Technology in the 21st Century with Dr. Todd Cunningham
Dr. Todd Cunningham, Chair of the School and Clinical Child Psychology program at the University of Toronto. Dr. Cunningham has supported parents, students, educators and school boards in the areas of new techniques in psychological assessments, evaluation of assistive technology, professional development in literacy and numeracy, and tele-psychology. He demonstrated new assistive technology in AI, calculators and Rescue Me, a time management app. The Q & A time provided opportunities for participants to ask for more information on a variety of topics.
