The STEPS program works to build self-advocacy skills, self-knowledge, and self-esteem. This program is an excellent resource for students who could benefit from this extra support through the transition to high school. This program is for Kingston and area students with learning disabilities and/or ADHD. Applications are submitted during grade 7 and programming takes place throughout grade 8.
Students without a recent psychoeducational assessment can receive one through the Steps office at the cost of $2000 (with option to pay in installments over 2 years). Applications will be accepted until February 28, 2025. Read more here.
Steps continues to offer an Ontario-wide annual Parent Workshop Series program held virtually for 4 weeks. This is a great opportunity for families to gather information on how best to support their children with ADHD and/or learning disabilities as they navigate their educational journey.
